Crazy Life

When does life ever start to slow down? Winter semester at BYU is always a rough one. There is no spring break, it still continues to snow, and the months of March and April are always jam packed with way to many dance events. Again I plead....when does life start to slow down? Senior Projects went well last week. I want to thank everyone again who made it out...truly I appreciate it. Now that that is complete I have two more shows this week, and way to many projects, papers, and tests to do before the semester is over (aka 2-3 weeks). I apologize for complaining...I am just the voice of a Senior who is ready to be complete....but don't get me wrong I am trying to enjoy the journey. So, tonight was wonderful because we were able to take a small little break and go grab some amazing burgers at FIVE GUYS!! We went with our good friends the Carters...who we love....and Aaron's brothers. Five Guys officially opened in Orem, Utah today and to say the least we were stoked!! I am ten pounds heavier, but one happy girl. Here are just a few pics...five guys, my senior project, and the lovely roses Aaron and my parents bought for my performance.

Also, Aaron had got a bunch of his mission buddies together this past week and had a guys night at the local Peruvian restaurant.

Psychology and Dance

Just some updates for the past week...Aaron was inducted for life into the National Honors Society in Psychology, Psi Chi. He was able to be inducted into this great association because he is in the top 30 percent of the Psychology majors at BYU. WOW, I am so proud of my man. Congratulations Aaron!!
From Wednesday to Saturday of this past week I had the oppurtunity to attend ACDFA (American College Dance Festival Association). It is just a conference for dancers throughout your region to come together take classes, watch performances, and also perform. It was a great experience to associate myself with other dancers throughout the Northwest region and learn from others professors from other colleges. The experience really allowed me to appreciate Brigham Young University and the wonderful education I am recieving, and the people I associate with everyday.
Anyways.....that has been our week. This next week is going to be even more crazy. I am preparing to present my dance for Senior Project Showcase. Wish me luck!!

Run, run, run.....

Saturday morning Aaron and I decided to get out there and run a 5K run. It was the annual Rex Lee Run at BYU for cancer fighters/cancer research. There was probably a little over a thousand that participated. We really had a great time. Aaron's goal was to not walk and he successfully achieved that goal. I felt pretty good when I saw that we had kept the same pace as another couple that looked pretty in shape. Aaron was cracking me up throughout the race especially when no one around us was really talking, just breathing heavily, he tried to get everyone going by yelling, "Give me an R, give me an E, give me an X...REX LEE RUN!!!!" He also told a little boy at the end who started to walk that he had to keep going because he couldn't give up. Aaron's positive personality just seems to always rub off on everyone he is around.

Then after that grand race Aaron and I headed to a BYU vs. Utah baseball game. I absolutely LOVE baseball games on a nice sunny day. We also had to get a hot dog and peanuts...no game is complete without these two things. Baseball games also bring me back the Atlanta Braves games with my dad. Wonderful memories!!

Pictures

Well I really don't have one thing to blog about, so I thought I would just put some recent pictures up and tell what we have been up to. So randomly I was just taking some pictures around our apartment. Here you will notice the cinder block walls and the baby blue counter tops probably from the 60's, but we love it and we do what we can with it. Also you will notice my three southern foods, which we have hanging in the kitchen. I saw these at a craft store and just had to have them.

Aaron has been apart of a basketball intramural team which he has really enjoyed. Here are just some pictures of my amazing man!

Thursday night, Adam and his girlfriend Amanda invited us to go with them to the open house for the Draper, Utah temple. Too bad we didn't get a great picture of the temple, but we really had a great time.

Lastly here are just some random pictures of us coming home from working out and playing basketball at Pinnacle's gym today.

What a day!

Well first off today is Aaron and I's 10th month anniversary. YAY! We are still just as in love as that grand day back in May.

We also received my camera officially in the mail today! Another YAY! Absolutely love it. Aaron and I waited at home for an hour today for it to get here, and it sure did. I am one happy girl....Aaron can't stop playing with it too.
Last but not least the finale of the bachelor was on tonight. With our good friends the Carter's we rented out the theatre at Pinnacle (where Aaron works) to watch this dramatic closer. Ummmmm it sure was dramatic...but hey that makes great reality TV. To be honest I am happy with him choosing Molly in the end, but if he messes this one up I have absolutely no respect for the guy. Anyways....

Aaron and I had a wonderful weekend. We first went to dinner on Friday night to a great Mexican place and then to the dollar movies to see Valkerie. Great night! Then Saturday we went hiking up at Bridal Veil Falls and Sundance and enjoyed a picnic. Then that night went on a group date to the BYU creamery and bowling, with all of his brothers and their dates. And then Sunday I was able to catch up with all my girlfriends and have dinner together. All in all had a great weekend.

Change

Don't ask why...but I am in desperate need of change!! I am craving it!! I don't know if it is the weather outside or I just have senior-itis. Really I haven't quite figured it out, but I need it. I have been thinking a lot lately of what could be some good changes in my life and my thoughts have led me to two great new things!! These are things that I have always had an interest in, but never could quite find the time to pursue them. So I am saying it now.....I am going to get into photography and personal training/aerobics. Really I am! There is not a whole lot of time in my schedule to get into these things now, but I have started to do my research and once I graduate in April I am hitting these two great things hard. I am searching for a credible program to be certified as a personal trainer at the moment and hope to get that done after April. And with photography I would just like to understand and learn more for the future. I have been voicing my ideas to my sweet husband and he has been so supportive. That is why I love him so much!! But not only has he been listening he actually is helping me with the new changes. Just last week Aaron came home and surprised me with a new camera...a very nice Cannon Rebel camera. I couldn't believe it, because I had told him I was going to ask for it as my birthday present in July! But he told me we had received some unexpected tax return from the state and the first thing he thought of was buying me a camera. Really? I do have the best husband in the world....it is confirmed! So....thank you sweetheart for getting me on the path of change, because I am ready for it!!

I LOVE my man

I just can't keep it in tonight. I love Aaron more than words can explain. I sit back and I am in awe of what an amazing man I am married to. I have been looking at our wedding albums a lot lately and I keep falling in love with Aaron. I am so proud of all of his accomplishments in school...for making it into the Washing DC Seminar, making it into the National Honors Society for Psychology, for always keeping great grades, working so diligently, and being my number one fan. Just a little side note Aaron has been at pretty much every single one of my dance performances. That means a ton!!! And he enjoys it!! Talk about love. Again, I just want to proclaim it loud and clear I LOVE Aaron Turner Young! He always keeps a smile on my face. Love you sweetheart!

Happy LOVE

Well Aaron and I have had one great weekend. We first started it out on Friday night by going to the temple together. We truly enjoyed spending that time together. The next day...Saturday...Valentines Day, we had a wonderful time together. We started off the day by going to Tucanos Brazilian Grill for lunch. Which was AMAZING!!
Then we were going to go to the movie Australia, but sadly it was sold out so instead we went to the movie Twilight. People don't take offense to what I am about to say, but it was probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Aaron will say it IS the worst movie he has ever seen. We laughed in parts that were supposed to be serious and just that it was not that great. But what do you do.

Then after the movies we came back home and just enjoyed a great night at home. Aaron also had planned for us to make chocolate covered strawberries.

All in all we had a wonderful valentines because it was spent with each other. Happy love day to all.

Calming down....

I apologize for the lack of blog updates for the month of January. Life was a little crazy for me. I just finished on Saturday night my last dance performance. We had a series of four shows this past weekend which has pretty much consumed my life for the month of January. A lot of preparation but all in all the shows went really well. My mom and one of her best friends, Jackie Dobson made it out to the show this year. It was wonderful to spend time with them. I also appreciated all the love and support, for the family and friends who came out to my last big performance at BYU. So thanks everyone!!

So like I said things are now starting to calm down. So to catch up on the life of the Young's....first thing, we are moving to WASHINGTON D.C. this upcoming fall. YAHOO!!! Aaron, was accepted into the Washington Seminar program through BYU, where he will be doing an internship related to psychology (his major). We are both very excited to get out and experience something new together. I LOVE DC, so I cant wait to live there and go explore this great city with Aaron. We will only be there for a semester, but we can't wait. Way to go sweetheart! Cool thing - we will be living in the BYU housing, Barlow Center, which is only about a mile away from the White House.

Aaron and I hit our one year anniversary for engagement last night. We tried to relive the moment...Aaron brought me a dozen of red roses after my performance and we headed to the BYU stadium parking lot where we danced a little bit and then he hit one knee. We didn't stay outside too long because it was a little cold. But it brought back some great memories. And, tomorrow we will hit our nine month mark.

Well here is just a few pictures of Christmas...our trip to Moab with the Young family and some back home. Sorry there is not a lot.
