My Besties!!
So recently I have been so grateful for some of my best friends. For me I have come to realize that a good friend can be hard to come by, and that is why I am SO thankful for the ones that are in my life.
But today I want to give a little shout out to my Besties!! The five women in my life who have been there from the beginning of time.......well....of college!! We all will say it..."How in the world are we friends?" All of us are SO different, but yet we have that friendship that will last a long time.
So it is still hard to believe that we all lived next door to each other in the freshman dorms and than lived together from then on out. We have all seen each others ups and downs and that is what I believe has brought us so close.
Just a little update on everyone:
Mrs. Aly and her husband Spencer, are currently residing in Provo, Utah. Aly is working full time, as a personal assistant at a law firm, and Spencer is in the process of applying to law school. So much to look forward for them.
Mrs. Amanda and her husband Will, are currently residing in New York City. Will was offered a full time position there in the city and they took it. Amanda is working as a Nanny and loving it! The big city has been a great adventure for them.
Hermana Ashley is currently residing in Houston, Texas, where she is serving a mission for our church! She is doing great and is loving life! I couldn't be more proud of her.
Miss Cara is also currently residing in Provo, Utah. She is working full time for Provo Craft, and LOVING her job. She is big time....getting to go on business trips and enjoy all the perks.
Miss Lindsay is currently residing in New York City, also. She is working with her Dad, with a company in the City. I always pictured this girl in the city....she was meant to experience it.
So there you are....it is fun to see where we all are in life, to think about where we were a few years ago, and to see what we have to look forward to.
I love all these women so dearly! Thank you thank you for ALWAYS being there for me. Love y'all!
Enjoy the pictures!

Oh life...
Life....where do I begin? You were so wonderful back in DC. You used to make me smile everday. Where have you gone? I am now back in a place I feel as though I have already conquered...have already moved past. So why am I here, feeling stuck? Well no, don't answer that.....thats a silly question....I know the answer. For life to progress I must stay here. Well then Life.....I'm here....willing and wanting to learn.....but may I ask a favor? Can this time maybe go by fast? Thanks Life!......I would appreciate that! :) From: MEY

What our life is like.....
I should have posted these pictures earlier because I know my parents have been wanting to see what our apartment looks like. So here are just a few pictures of our small but very cozy studio apartment and our surroundings here on L Street.

And here are just some other pictures. Some of our friends here in dc all making pizza together, our church where we attend, Aaron at the capitol, and me at the Kennedy Center.

I have learned over these last few months of living here, that our simple life is such a blessing. I know we will look back at these times and just smile and laugh because the world would say that we have nothing, but we feel like we are on top of the world. We have each other and our goals and we know with that, we can get through life. Life is simple and life is good!

Love DC....
Aaron and I have visited so many sites here in DC, but there are still many to see. Here are just some pics of some of the sites we have been to recently.

Halloween in DC
Ok so Halloween in Washington DC can get a little crazy......
Aaron and I started asking around for events that might take place around DC during Halloween a few weeks prior, and learned that we would not be disappointed. We first attended a Drag Queen Race on Tuesday evening, which has been an ongoing tradition at Dupont circle for the past like 20 years. Yes.....DRAG QUEEN RACE!! All these men or whatever they are...dress up in drag and run as fast as they can in HEELS to win the race. It was a HUGE event!! It was so crowded and rainy that we didn't quite get to see them actually racing...but it was worth making an appearance. WARNING: Some pictures are disturbing, hahaha, but now that they are posted I can delete them so our children don't look back and wonder what kind of events we were attending!!! After the crazy race...we enjoyed ourselves some Delicious doughnuts!

Later that week we went over to our good friends Kelly and Jeff Henriod's place and carved pumpkins. They gave us a tutorial on shaving the pumpkin instead of actually carving it. With such a little pumpkin we decided to do our monogram....and we think it turned out pretty cute!

Then for the actual Halloween night we went out to Georgetown, with our friends Courntey and Reese. So rumor had it that Georgetown is the place to be on Halloween night...that was confirmed when we could hardly walk up and down the streets because of the crowd. But we ended up getting into a club which was down on the riverside and just danced the night away!! We had a BLAST!!! Aaron and I didn't want to spend money on costumes this year so we pulled from our closets and decided to be Jackie and John F. Kennedy. It worked....

This was the traffic outside our window at around midnight on Halloween night!!

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

NYC
A few weekends ago Aaron and I took a quick weekend getaway up to NYC. We jumped on a bus for a four hour trip and ended up right in the middle of the city. We had an amazing time!!! Times Square, Broadway show - The Lion King, great pizza, Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Wall Street, and we were able to see Will and Amanda. It was such a quick weekend....but we were able to pack everything in.

Aaron and I were planning on staying in a hostel, until the night before we left we received an email from the company stating the hostel was closing down and our reservations were no longer valid!! Moment of panic.....we started looking at all possible options, which were slim to none. My parents were able to help us out with some Marriott points and land us a hotel room with this amazing view out our window. Honestly, this made the whole trip!!! We loved every minute. Thanks again mom and dad!
Oh and yes....I did cut my hair....and I love it!
