SISTERS!!

So I just have to brag a little bit on my cute little sister Miss Ansley Christina Ensign. She just won the social science fair for her grade at her school. You go girl!! Her project was on Genealogy, and the famous people she is related to. I am so proud of her and all that she does. So, I have just been thinking about her a lot lately and just how much I love that cute little girl. Everyone says that her and I are so much alike and its so true. We pretty much look the same and we both love dance. She is very talented not only in dance but at tumbling, basketball, running, school, being a great friend and the list goes on and on. Again I have just been thinking a lot about her lately and how much I love her. I love you Ansley. Thanks for being a wonderful sister!!

My husband...

First off let me just say how much I love my husband. He is the best guy out there, and I am positive about that. He is the hardest worker, the most loving, the most patient, selfless person I know. I love him so much and I want him to know that he means everything to me, and everything that he does day in and out does not go unnoticed. So thank you sweetheart, for EVERYTHING you do!!
Aaron surprised me a few weeks ago for our 6 month anniversary, (Yes people its true we are going on 7 months the beginning of December....where does the time go??)with a night stay at the Radisson, in downtown Salt Lake City. We finally had time to sneak up there this past weekend, and let me just tell you it was seriously one of the best weekends of my life. Both of us have been so bogged down with school, work, and dance that we start our day at 6:30 a.m. and don't see each other again until about 9 or 10 at night. Its not so fun....but its life. This weekend was just dedicated to having fun, spending time together, a little R&R (like my brother would say, Rest and Relaxation), and NO school. That is exactly what happened.
We shopped at the Gateway and got some great deals at Old Navy. We also got tickets to see "Savior of the World", a musical put on by our church. We had a very romantic dinner at Macaroni Grill, relaxed at the hot tub at the hotel, and again just truly enjoyed each others company.

Another little surprise my husband gave me was a LOVELY black dress. On one of his lunch breaks he snuck up to the mall and bought me a beautiful much needed and wanted little black dress and some new pearl earrings. Is he not the BEST??? I loved wearing the dress this weekend, it is just gorgeous. Thanks again Aaron!! Here it is in the picture posted below.

Also during our little trip Aaron purchased a football, which has made him a HAPPY man. I never knew that buying a football would make him that happy. Seriously people he cant keep his hands of it....it even came to bed with us last night. :) He sure does deserve it. I love you Aaron Turner Young!

Our Bodies

Well we had just a wonderful weekend, so I thought I would share it with everyone. We first, on Friday night carved pumpkins with our friends the Carter's. We had a great time and some great laughs. Aaron carved a "Y" on his pumpkin for BYU and I just went with your typical pumpkin face.

Saturday Aaron started off his day with playing some football with his brothers, which is probably his all time favorite thing to do, and then we were headed off to the BYU vs. UNLV football game. "Stop em cougs!" Pretty close game, but BYU played well and pulled off a win in the end.

Then that night Aaron and I, and some of our best friends Zane and Michelle all headed up to Salt Lake City to attend the exhibit, Body Worlds. For those of you who might not be familiar, it is an amazing exhibit where human bodies and body parts are put on display to show just how amazing our bodies really are. Now a lot of you are probably freaked out by now, but I am telling you it is science and art at its best. I could go on and on about how truly amazing our bodies are. This is one thing I personally feel so strongly about. When I tell people I am a dance major, pretty much the only response I get from people is, "Oh how FUN!" In peoples minds all they think is that I dance all day and some how that earns me a college degree, which is so far from the truth. Now don't get me wrong there is so many hours during the week that I am physically dancing, but I would say that I am in a classroom setting just as much. While in the classes I get to learn so much about our bodies and how we connect to people through movement, how we can use our bodies to create art, how our body can create aesthetically pleasing movement, and how are bodies function. I just finished an anatomy course this past summer, which was the hardest class I will ever take, but was truly so rewarding. Can I just attest to how beautiful and inspiring the human body is and how it works. Again Body Worlds was just another reminder for me of how blessed I am to have my healthy body, how I am able to move it through space on a daily basis. Even if I am just walking or dancing. From the modern dancer within me I encourage everyone to re-discover their body, move like you have never moved before, notice the space and energy around your body. Indulge in movement, and find connections within your body that you never knew existed. What a beautiful tool we have been given, make sure to always treasure it.

Happy Birthday Connor!!!

So today October 23rd, marks the birthday of my amazing brother, Connor Jonathan Ensign. Where do I even begin....this kid is amazing!!! Connor has been my example, my strength, and my inspiration throughout life. Connor truly knows how to live life to his fullest. He just simply knows how to be happy and how to genuinely care for others. He touches many lives, but most deeply has touched mine. Thanks Connor for being the best brother in the WORLD!!! I love you dearly. I hope you have a wonderful day.....I am thinking of you buddy. Happy 18th Birthday man!!!

Connor a few years ago lived one of his dreams, and had the opportunity to go to China. Connor loved every minute of it. If you ask him what his favorite part of the trip was he would just simply say, "Oh making friends with the Chinese delegates." (As if its no big deal.) People just love you Connor! No matter where you are in the world you always seem to make people smile.

Happy Autumn

I have loved the season of autumn this year. Usually I despise the change of weather out here in Utah because that means that snow is just around the corner. But this year has been a little different. It has been beautiful outside and I have just loved every minute. I've made Aaron join in on my love for autumn this year by helping me buy a pumpkin, eating apple pie with me (the lattice top one from Costco...heaven sent!!!), making carmel apples, and eating so many candy corns and the little pumpkins. I have been one happy girl!!

Last night we had so much fun going to a corn maize down at Thanksgiving Point. We went with Adam and one of our good friends from Georgia, Kate Heniger. It was truly a blast. We had fun going through the haunted corn maize, shooting pumpkins out of a gun, riding in a cow train, racing each other on bikes, jumping on a huge air pillow, and much more. It was pretty much the ultimate autumn celebration. The four of us really had a great time. Here are some pictures.....enjoy!
